Lyon-Saint Exupery Airport, formerly known as Lyon-Satolas, is the fourth largest airport in France in terms of passenger traffic. Located 25 km from Lyon, the airport transports nearly 9 million passengers a year for more than a hundred destinations served.
Currently equipped with three terminals, the airport has for project the realization of a new terminal regrouping them all. It will thus double the available surface area with 70,000 m2 by 2020, of which 10,000 m2 will be devoted to businesses.
The Lyon airport also offers various modes of transport allowing passengers to move. The latter can thus opt for the tram, the TGV, the bus, the taxi or the motorbike in order to reach the destination of their choice. In addition to the main car rental companies, Lyon-Saint Exupéry also has an important shuttle service serving nearly 40 ski resorts. The Lyons airport also has a vast shopping area, several restaurants and 3 hotels.
